LETTER: Bush puts career before economy
January 22, 2004
It is sad to see a president of the United States try to save his political career and get elected to a second term by introducing ideas like the new $250 million job training program for college students.
Can’t he put his corporate agenda to the side for just a second and realize there are plenty of recent college graduates like many of my friends who are struggling to find one job that will accept them?
It’s hard to feel optimistic when you are applying for a job with 40 other people with college degrees.
It’s time for the president to realize that just because Wall Street is improving not everyone in the real world is just as well off. It is time for a change in this country.
