More changes within the Department of Residence will be discussed with Inter-Residence Hall Association members on Thursday.

Department of Residence Director Randy Alexander will share recommended rate increases by the Department of Residence for room and board for the fall 2004 and spring 2005 semesters. Alexander will present the information at Thursday’s IRHA meeting.

The rate increases would be for Richardson Court Association, Union Drive Association, Towers Residence Hall Association, Buchanan Hall and Frederiksen Court, Alexander said.

No information will be shared about rate increases at University Village unless questions are asked about that housing, he said. This is because there are separate student leader contacts for that area and because IRHA members are not particularly concerned with University Village, Alexander said.

IRHA parliament will also be informed about how the Department of Residence plans to use university buildings for the upcoming year, he said.

Members of IRHA will also be given the opportunity to give feedback on the current policy handbook for the Department of Residence, said John Shertzer, adviser for IRHA.

The IRHA meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Maple-Willow-Larch conference room.
