LETTER: Gerdin computer lab lacks printers
January 26, 2004
First, I would like to start by saying I love the new Gerdin Business Building. It is a fantastic new facility, and I think the lecture hall is the most comfortable on campus.
On the other hand, I must say the large computer lab in Gerdin is the biggest mess on campus.
There are 100 computers in there and only two printers. This means if you are printing something out, you can be guaranteed a 10 minute wait to get it.
Shouldn’t a school that is supposed to be teaching about good management know that a 100-2 ratio doesn’t work?
Personally, I would have gotten 10 or 15 less computers and a few more printers. That would have seemed more economical to me.
