Morgan gets easy win, Sullivan gets 3-pointer record

The Wayne Morgan era officially opened as the ISU men’s basketball team easily disposed of Mercer, 87-64.
Freshman Curtis Stinson led the team in scoring with 20 points and shot a sizzling 9-of-14 from the floor. Marcus Jefferson and Jared Homan each added 16 points, with Homan collecting four blocks. Homan’s four blocks put him at fifth on the ISU career blocks list with 102.
Senior guard Jake Sullivan eclipsed the ISU career 3-pointers mark, going 4 for 7 from behind the arc. Sullivan’s four 3s gave him 192 for his career, two more than the mark of 190 set by Dedric Willoughby. Sullivan finished with 14 points.
