Police Blotter

The information in the blotter comes from Ames Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

December 6

  • John Njue, 129I University Village., was arrested for violation of a no contact order. He was transported to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.

December 7

  • Jeffrey Shaw, 4885 Helser Hall, was arrested for public intoxication, trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fifth-degree criminal mischief. He was released on citation.
  • Desmond Chester, 1113 N. Dakota Ave. #2, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was released on citation.
  • Daniel Ryan, Bettendorf, was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • Michael Theulen, 843 W 190th St. Lot 4, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. He was taken to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.

December 8

  • Joseph Kousma, 1312 Florida Ave. #4, was arrested for obstructing a 911 call. He was taken to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Derric Belton, 400 E. 7th St. #B5, was arrested for contempt of court on a warrant for public urination. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • Jamie Demeris, 227 S. Kellogg Ave., was arrested for possession of stolen property and driving while barred. He was transported to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Ricky Hampton, 420 E 7th St., was arrested for fifth-degree theft. He was transported to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.
