Last Wednesday, Iowa State lost someone truly special. My cousin Jayna Trotzig was among the most sincere, outgoing and positive people I have ever known. Her tragic passing came as a shock to all who knew her.

Jayna’s free spirit seemed to touch everyone in her life. Her selfless devotion to others and lively individualism defined who she really was. Without a doubt, Jayna lived every day of her life to the fullest and always made it a priority to spend time with her friends and family. She never turned down an opportunity to be with those close to her and have a good time.

We will miss Jayna and the energy she brought to us. She will be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
