December 5
- A staff member reported that someone used a computer without permission at Science I.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Melissa Lekin and Ci Jiang were involved in a property damage collision at Lot 8.
- A local resident reported receiving a telephone bill for services and/or from a company she did not use at the Armory.
- Xinyu Ding, 28, 168B University Village, was charged with domestic-related simple assault and obstructing an emergency communication at University Village.
- Elizabeth Blaser, 18, 4761 Helser Hall, was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Helser Hall.
December 6
- Officers assisted Ames Police with a fight at Sips Bar.
- Officers received a report that a man had entered a room and assaulted an acquaintance of an ex-girlfriend at Friley Hall. When leaving the area, he allegedly punched a hole in the wall with his fist and then ripped out a portion of drywall. Kenneth Heavlow, 21, Omaha, Neb., was later located in the Lowe’s parking lot; he was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and assault.
- Justin Kornegay, 23, 1013 Delaware Ave., was taken into custody on a warrant held by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at Welch Avenue.
- A motorist believed a door of an adjacent vehicle struck her vehicle at Lot 50B.
- A staff member reported the theft of a neon sign at the Memorial Union.
- A vehicle owned by Amanda Schnitker was reportedly struck by another car; the incident occurred the previous day at Lot C1.
- Huixia Shou reported damage to a vehicle at Schilletter Village.
- A resident reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at Maple Hall.
December 7
- Josh Vonahsen, 20, 1300 Coconino Rd., was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Friley Hall.
- Officers were summoned to 3318 Frederiksen Court for a loud party.
- A staff member reported two people behaving in a suspicious manner at the Memorial Union Ramp. Daniel Ryan, 23, and Katie Schaecher, 21, both of Davenport, were subsequently arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- John Charbonneaux, 20, 4335 Fieldstone, was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Pammel Grocery.
- Two different residents reported a loud party in a nearby apartment at University Village. The matter will be referred to Department of Residence officials for review.
- Jeffrey Saunders, 22, 2112 Lincoln Way, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Gray Avenue and Sunset Drive.
December 8
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Megan Wing at Lot B6.
- A staff member reported the theft of a parking sign at Pammel Drive and Wallace Road.
- Ananto Prasetyo, 26, 121G University Village, was charged with driving under suspension at Stange Road.
