The information in the log comes from ISU Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
October 26
- A resident reported receiving harassing messages at Maple Hall.
- Nicholas Kraska, 22, Des Moines, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Campus Avenue and West Street.
- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious odor that could be linked to drug activity at Willow Hall.
- A staff member reported that several juveniles had spray-painted graffiti inside the building at Beyer Hall.
October 27
- A staff member reported the theft of a video projector at Sweeney Hall.
- A staff member reported the theft of a projector at the Armory.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Jessica Miller at Lot S4.
- Officers received a number of calls regarding unauthorized solicitors in the RCA area. Bobby Thomas, 18, unknown address, was arrested and charged with interference, providing false information, transient merchant violation, and criminal trespass. Thomas provided officers with multiple dates of birth and names. A subsequent fingerprint check revealed the individual’s real identity.
- Erica Parenti, 20, Larkspur, Colo., was charged with a transient merchant violation at Maple Hall.
October 28
- A resident reported the theft of clothing at Schilletter Village.
- A vehicle that left the scene was reported to have struck a car owned by Jocelyn Frohwein at Parks Library.
- Chris McCoy, 2240 Hoover Hall, reported the theft of two laptop computers at Hoover Hall.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Nicholas Stamp and Vishwanath Somashekar were involved in a property damage collision at Elwood Drive and Lincoln Way.
