September 8
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Petre Vlad at University Village. The vehicle was later located and the case cleared.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Shawn Miller on Osborn Drive.
- A staff member reported several harassing messages left on voice mail at Beardshear Hall.
- Vehicles driven by Keesha Whitted and John Twitchell were involved in a collision at Pammel Drive and Stange Road.
- A staff member reported damage to two air conditioning units at Frederiksen Court.
- A vehicle driven by Mao Fan struck a bridge on Stange Road.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Mollie Fondroy at Lot S8.
- A resident reported the theft of papers from his vehicle at Lot 112.
- Adam Forbes, 7112 Frederiksen Court, reported damage to his vehicle at Lot 112.
- A resident reported receiving a harassing telephone call from an acquaintance at Larch Hall.
September 9
- A resident received a telephone call from a man purporting to be a law enforcement officer at Frederiksen Court — the call appears to be a hoax.
- Gina Allen, 21, 219 Crystal St., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Lincoln Way and Maple Avenue.
- Jamie McCollough, 22, 219 Crystal St., was charged with public intoxication at Lincoln Way and Maple Avenue.
- Officers assisted a woman who had fallen from her bike at Molecular Biology. She was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
- Smoke was observed in the back seat area of a parked vehicle at Lot C6. The Ames Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
- Theresa Linsley, 317 Lynn Ave., reported losing her cellular telephone; the incident occurred on Aug. 30 at Lot G2.
- Erik Triggs, 1107 Friley Hall, reported the theft of a bike at Friley Hall.
- A staff member reported being threatened by a co-worker at Molecular Biology.
- A woman reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at University Village.
September 10
- Toby Thurston, Clarence, was arrested and charged with public intoxication at Chamberlain Street and Welch Road.
- Charles Sprague, 22, Nevada, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Stange Road.
- A resident reported damage to a parked vehicle at Lot 112.
- A staff member reported the theft of construction equipment at UDA Suite 2.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Iowa State University and Mary Malcom were involved in a property damage collision at Veterinary Medicine.
- A bicyclist struck a pedestrian at Beardshear Hall.
- A resident reported the theft of a hitch from a truck at Lot 112.
- Jason Edwards, Des Moines, reported losing a cellular telephone at Durham Center.
- Officers initiated a computer-related investigation at the Armory Building.
- Jason McReynolds, 9436 Wilson Hall, reported the theft of a license plate at Lot 61.
September 11
- Jonathan Metcalf, 24, Boone, was taken into custody on a warrant held by the Story County Sheriff’s Office at Mortensen Parkway and State Avenue.
- Christina Mendez-Garcia, 21, 2125 Greeley Street, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Greeley Street and Pearson Avenue. She was also taken into custody on a warrant held by the Ames Police Department.
- Gaurav Sharma, 22, 1231 N. Dakota Ave., was charged with driving under suspension on Knapp Street.
- A resident reported the theft of a backpack and books at Friley Hall.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Roger Anderson and Amy Schlechte were involved in a property damage collision at Haber Road and Pammel Drive.
- Two people reported that their vehicles had been moved out of their respective stalls at Lot D3.
- Officers assisted a resident who was suffering from an overdose of medicine at Frederiksen Court.
September 12
- Jeremy Williams, 21, Ankeny, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Hayward Avenue.
- Marc Biga, 22, 4912 Mortensen Rd., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Lincoln Way.
- Scott Bethel, 20, 4912 Mortensen Rd., was charged with underage possession of alcohol, open container, and possession of false identification on Lincoln Way.
- A staff member reported the theft of a banner at Jack Trice Stadium.
- A resident reported losing his wallet at Friley Hall.
- A motorist reported that a bicycle struck her car the previous evening at Lot 112.
- A staff member reported damage to a window at the Hub.
- Katie Blair, 19, 6406 Prairie Ridge Rd., was arrested and charged with public intoxication at Pammel Grocery.
- Lindsay Sindt, 21, Griswold, was cited for public consumption at Welch Avenue.
- Adam Thomas, 18, 4207 Knapp Hall, was cited for underage possession of alcohol and interference with official acts at Hayward Avenue and Knapp Street.
- A staff member reported a patron left the Memorial Union ramp without paying for services.
