LETTER: Pirated music isn’t anything new

If the issue of digital music had been addressed by them earlier, maybe they could have used it in some way — but now digital music is so widespread that the RIAA can sue as many consumers as they want, and it won’t stop the flow of free music.

I suggest we think twice before buying that next album and give them something to complain about. If the RIAA doesn’t get money from sales of compact discs, they will need to find a way to utilize digital music rather than fight it.
