As the chair of the Iowa Federation of College Democrats and the third-highest ranking national officer in College Democrats of America (CDA), I wanted to make it clear that CDA President Ashley Bell’s endorsement of Sen. John Edwards for president is not to be confused as the endorsement of CDA.

CDA will not endorse a specific candidate. Ashley’s endorsement of Sen. Edwards was a personal decision and is in no way reflective upon the national organization of CDA.

No resources of CDA will be used in support of Sen. Edwards because of Ashley’s endorsement.
