Volleyball team loses to Nebraska

The ISU women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 to No. 7 Nebraska Wednesday night.

The team was coming off three consecutive losses to Bowling Green, Texas and Baylor.

Though the Cyclones gave up game one with a score of 30-25, they collected 15 kills and only three errors. Iowa State swapped leads with Nebraska five times in the first game.

In the second game, the Cyclones led by as many as five points but the Huskers came back and finished the game with a score of 30-20.

Nebraska clinched the match in the third game by a score of 30-14. Overall there were 10 tie scores and eight lead changes in the match.

Junior outside hitter Brittany Dalager finished with nine kills and nine digs in the three games. Senior Renae Pruess and freshman Katie Jessen each slated eight kills. On defense, senior Dana Koziol put up six digs. Senior Lindsey Chapman had 19 assists in the match.

The Cyclones will continue their season by traveling to Boulder, Colo., on Saturday to face the Buffaloes for a 7 p.m. match.
