The 19th Thomas L. Hill Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity (ISCORE)explored of race and ethnicity on a local and national scale on Friday.

“[ISCORE] is the university’s local initiative designed to provide an ongoing platform of sharing and applying new knowledge through presentations and workshops,” according to the ISCORE website. “The conference supports the university’s Mission to ‘create, share and apply knowledge … and make Iowa and the world a better place.’” 

a variety of Iowa State students, faculty and staff who attended the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in High Education presented on different issues and personal experiences relating to race and ethnicity. 

The sessions took place in 50-minute blocks from 10 to 11:50 a.m. and from 2:10 to 4 p.m. Each block had eight to nine different presentations.
