Police Blotter

The information in the blotter comes from Ames Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
July 9
- Brad Larson, 22, 3001 Eisenhower Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Hayward Avenue.
- Stephanie Parra, 21, 219 South 5th St., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Hyland Avenue and Pammel Drive.
- Logan Welch, 22, Webster City, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue.
- A staff member reported the theft of a wallet at Beyer Hall.
- David Tett, 48, Roland, was charged with serious misdemeanor assault (hate crime) and a weapons violation. He is alleged to have sprayed two individuals with a liquid substance, made a derogatory racial comment, and displayed a knife with blade extended in Curtiss Hall.
- July 11
- Benjamin Maynard, 23, 1226 Wilson Ave., was charged with driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia on Hayward Avenue.
- Heather Hardinger, 21, 616 Billy Sunday Rd., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Center Street and Elwood Drive.
- An unattended car rolled from its parking stall and struck another vehicle at University Village.
- July 12
- Brandy Proulx, 30, 1706 Grand Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Hyland Avenue and Ross Road.
- Anthony Cooley, 27, 111 Sherman Ave., was charged with driving under suspension at Chamberlain Street and Welch Avenue.
- Pedro Pablo Mercado-Ortega, 20, 4112 Lincoln Swing, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief on Welch Avenue.
- Robert Arens, 20, LeMars, was charged with possessing a false driver license on Welch Avenue.
July 13
- Daniel Williams, 22, 528 Welch Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Lincoln Way and Lynn Avenue.
