The information in the log comes from Iowa State Police records provided to the Iowa State Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
- July 1
- Casey Anderson, 22, 4708 Steinbeck St., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- Ryan Hill, 33, 803 13th St., was cited for operating a motorcycle in a reckless manner.
- A staff member reported damage to a number of plants.
- Brad Grimm, 1215 Wilson Ave., reported the theft of a bike.
- David Buman, Harlan, reported the loss of a bracelet.
- A staff member reported misplacing a university credit card.
- A vehicle driven by Ryan Lynch collided with a bike ridden by Zane Muntz.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Michael Gregan and Erin Thornton were involved in a property damage collision.
- July 2
- An officer observed two people fighting. Mark Garst, 26, Buffalo Center, was subsequently charged with disorderly conduct.
- Augustin Mendez, 30, 1316 South Duff Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (second offense) and driving under suspension.
- A staff member reported a camp member possibly assaulted two people.
- Vehicles driven by Anjana Rao and Myungsuk Kim were involved in a property damage collision.
- Thomas Gillespie, 21, Red Oak, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- July 4
- Chau Cao, 23, Des Moines, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- A vehicle driven by Delmar Butterbaugh struck a retaining wall, causing minor damage.
- July 6
- Kyle Nordeen, 21, Story City, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- Officers received a report of people shining flashlights into parked vehicles. Two 16-year-old males were subsequently taken into custody and charged with possessing concealed weapons. The boys were released to their respective parents.
