If anyone should be fired, it is Athletic Director Bruce Van De Velde. At a basketball game this year, he was booed very loudly by the students in attendance.

Larry Eustachy did nothing illegal with his actions. He is a grown man that admits he has a drinking problem. He has taken steps towards correcting that problem. It will be a long road for Eustachy, and he needs everyone’s support.

If Eustachy gets fired, some players already have said they will not stay here. Also, incoming players will have the option to go elsewhere, as I am sure some will. Instead of firing him, suspend him, fine him, cut his pay, do whatever except fire him. This is not something one should be fired over.

Iowa still has Pierre Pierce on its team and what he did was much worse. He was suspended for a year, which was enough.

Eustachy should not be fired. If anyone should, I give my vote for Van De Velde.
