Record season for Kenney, ISU golf
May 19, 2003
One of the best seasons in history for the ISU women’s golf team came to an end May 10 after sophomore Louise Kenney finished her three rounds at an NCAA Regional competition in Lincoln, Neb.
Kenney was the first Cyclone to receive an individual nomination to an NCAA Regional meet. She shot 238 over three rounds to finish in a tie for 47th place.
The 2002-2003 Cyclones won three team titles during the season and set new school records in many categories, while Kenney set an individual record with her 76.1 stroke average.
Kenney also set the 54-hole school record earlier in the season with a 218 at the Mountain View Collegiate.
