Has anyone noticed that there seems to be a general apathy toward Veishea nowadays? I mean, there is always the schedule they post in the bathrooms, but other than that, there is nothing. I haven’t seen any indication that there is even a festival running this year. It is not only Stars Over Veishea that is lacking in effort and publicity, but the entire festival is awash in apathy.

To back this up, there are a number of things I’ve noticed. First, there is no large musical act. Second, other than the two articles on this Web site that are three months old, the Daily hasn’t added any web features. Third, nobody seems to be talking about it. Fourth, there isn’t a large ad campaign like there should be.

I’m starting to wonder if Veishea will be around by the time I graduate because this is the second year in a row that I haven’t seen much gusto about this, and it’s getting worse.
