LETTER: France trying to dominate Europe
April 28, 2003
“In the world classroom where political power and threats are used as symbolic spitballs, France is ever the angry victim and the United States is the devilish bully.”
Oh, yes, anyone who opposes the Bush administration must be pure of heart and righteous. Could it be possible that France has its own ulterior motives for opposing the United States? I would think so with its current position to dominate European politics along with Germany.
Also, remember that France hasn’t always been the “peace-loving” (relatively) militarily weak country. It was only 50 years ago that France gave up the last of its colonies in Asia and Africa (although France still has some clout in its former African colonies).
