LETTER: Registration software in need of support
April 20, 2003
Just a few days ago I went to download a new course catalog for Regman, only to discover that Iowa State is no longer going to allow the company that makes and updates Regman to have access to course catalogs. The change takes place May 12.
The Web site for Regman quotes ISU administration as saying, “Regman does not have a significant enough impact on students registration experience.” That is the reason that they are going to end their support for Regman.
I’m asking everyone on campus that has used and benefited from this program to write an e-mail to your advisers, teachers, the ISU administration and specifically Vice Provost Howard Shapiro and implore them to save Regman.
