Policy changes to be voted on by Senate
March 25, 2003
The Faculty Senate will vote on final examination policies at its meeting Tuesday night.
The policies pertain to students needing to reschedule a final exam and to departments that wish to schedule a special group exam.
The senate will also vote on a proposed policy regarding the appeals process of the provost and president. The policy calls for all appeals against the provost or president to be routed through the provost’s office before being forwarded to the president.
Also on the agenda is a vote on a resolution on a university policy regarding the United Way of Story County. The resolution calls for an end to the university’s support to United Way by use of its campus mail system and the practice of having faculty operate as collectors of United Way contribution envelopes.
The senate will also elect four senators to serve on the Athletic Council.
The Faculty Senate will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the North Room of the Gateway Center.
