GSB Senate to vote on endorsement

The Senate of the Government of the Student Body will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

GSB invites all students to take part in the discussion of bills and senate orders.

The following initiatives will be presented for their first reading:

* A senate bill to allocate funds to the ISU Baseball Club for the purchase of new bleachers.

* A senate bill to eliminate the director of informational technology position from the GSB Bylaws.

* A senate bill to transfer the funds in the Special Holding Account and the GSB Project Account into the Regular Allocations Account.

* A senate resolution to oppose the possible change in the university calendar currently presented by the University Calendar Committee.

The following initiatives will be presented for their second reading and will be voted upon:

* A senate resolution to endorse a student member to the Ames City Council.

* A senate order to confirm GSB President T.J. Schneider’s nomination to fill the director of public information position.

* A senate bill to fund the ISU Men’s Hockey Club for the Central States College Hockey League Tournament.
