LETTER: Older students helpful to new ones
February 28, 2003
Good editorial, but will the Department of Residence listen? Students are the customers here. They pay rent for their dorm rooms. Many upperclassmen with huge academic loads need to live within 5 minutes of the lab or classroom.
The current priority system gives them the chance at a single in Friley, for example, permitting them to waste less of their valuable time getting back and forth to the engineering or physics labs or the music practice rooms than would a room in Towers or an apartment off campus.
Upper-division students have had a positive influence on almost every successful ISU graduate. Ask one and see.
