I am writing this letter to show my disgust in the Iowa State Daily’s ability to cover the club sports of Iowa State.

I am a member of the Iowa State University Men’s Rugby Club, which has over 50 student members. This past weekend our club went to Norman, Okla., to compete in the Big 12 Tournament, in which we placed third.

While I did not expect a member of the staff to travel to Norman to report on the games, I am disappointed that our coach was ignored when contacting the Iowa State Daily about the weekend and the success of the club.

I have seen articles about the ISU Hockey Club and I also have seen articles about the other clubs, including the Juggling and Unicycling Club. While I understand the Iowa State Daily is on a limited budget, would it kill the paper to accept a short article about the success the team had against our Big 12 rivals?

While I know not everyone wants to read about our team, there are many who do want to see how the team does, especially against the talented teams of the Big 12 conference.
