Low on Cash?
February 13, 2003
Running a little short on cash but still want to see some decent live shows in the upcoming months? Des Moines rock radio station Lazer 103.3 has your back with its “Low Dough Concert Series” of shows that will feature up-and-coming national acts and barely make a dent in the bank account.
“We just wanted to provide our listeners with shows at affordable prices and familiarize them with some of the baby bands that are starting to break and get played on the radio,” says Jeff Gostele, Lazer 103.3 promotions and marketing director.
Lazer was able to snag an impressive line-up of bands, including Trapt, Ra, Theory of a Deadman and Chevelle, a band that has been picking up some serious attention among hard rock fans.
Gostele says response has been strong as far as ticket sales go. Des Moines nightclub Toad Holler holds about 1,000 people and Gostele estimates that about 300 tickets have been sold already for each show.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Toad Holler box office.
