LETTER: Corruption ebbs corporate faith
January 17, 2003
Over the last few weeks, stock market analysts have stated repeatedly that the recent decline in the stock market has “weeded out” investors who no longer have confidence in corporate America.
Personally, I have very little confidence in corporate America. When the corporate executives and government employees — like politicians and members of the EPA — who protect corrupt corporations are formally arrested and incarcerated on the charges of attempted murder, manslaughter and homicide for the thousands of Americans who yearly become ill or die from toxins and pollution that are dumped into our air, water, land and food supplies, then I might have confidence in corporate America and public servants.
