If so much money is going to the athletic department from private donors and other outside sources, why does it require so much from the university’s general fund that could be used elsewhere?

Dan McCarney is a better coach than the way overpaid Iowa Coach, but not so good that he should be paid more than twice the salary of the President of the United States.
