LETTER:Ridiculous costs for sub-par meals
December 3, 2002
Have you ever been extremely hungry? So hungry that you are practically running just to go and eat Dining Services? I have.
But, after getting down to the Dining Services and waiting for at least 15 minutes just to get my card swiped, I find the same old pasta. Pasta with marinara, pasta with alfredo or pasta with meat sauce. All we eat is pasta. Pasta is good for you, but it is necessary to eat it every day?
We pay $7.25 for one dinner meal. You would think that Iowa State could afford to give its students a bit of variety if we are paying such obscene prices. We could go to out to eat at a fast-food restaurant for less than we pay here. Maybe the meal won’t be as healthy for us, but at least we will enjoy it.
