I am writing in response to Ms. Pospeshil’s letter regarding her registration difficulties. Ms. Pospeshil feels “discriminated against because [she is] a middle-class Caucasian.”

I, too, am a Caucasian from a middle-class family. Can you guess how many times I’ve had problems with registration? Zero. Like your roommate, I’m here on a scholarship. There are plenty of others like me and we all get to register before you.

So, if you want to debate the fairness of people registering early, go ahead. However, I don’t think it’s the minority part of your roommate’s scholarship you should be focusing on.
