Being an athlete at Iowa State does have its benefits. I have a full scholarship, which allows me to get meals, housing, and the luxury of registering for classes early.

I resent the fact that people are bothered by the fact athletes have this privilege. Athletics at Iowa State bring in lots of money, not to mention that it is very time-consuming. I understand that I made this choice, but athletes do deserve the right to register early.

Due to travel, games and practice, our class schedule is very limited, whereas a normal student has all day to go to class. I do feel that there are improvements that need to be done with registration, because a lot of my friends have trouble getting the classes they want. I feel I have the right to register earlier than others due to the great time commitment I have made to my sport and the university.
