I am writing this letter in response to Brett Hagen and Brandon Winterton’s letter “Computer science testing poor” in the Oct. 28 edition of the Daily.

I am also a student in Computer Science 227 and have had no trouble finishing the two tests we have had thus far. I have finished each of the exams in around 45 minutes and received a high B on each of them. The keys to my quick and accurate answers is that the problems are less complicated than those presented in our homework assignments and that I prepare for the tests.

The instructor, Mr. Owen Reynolds, and his teaching assistants are aware of how long the average student will take to complete the exam and make sure to give enough time for students to finish.
