Two ISU students arrested Wednesday on separate charges in connection with sexual exploitation of a minor have been released on bail.

Buckley Necker, senior in agricultural education from Aurora, Iowa, was charged with five felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor by ISU Police on Wednesday, said Capt. Gene Deisinger.

Necker was released on a security bond posted by Lederman Bail Bonds of Waterloo, according to court records.

Necker could not be reached for comment.

According to court records, Necker’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. at the Story County Justice Center.

Jeremy Leo, freshman in meteorology from Fort Dodge, was charged with 17 counts of aggravated misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a minor on Wednesday, Deisinger said.

Diane Tott, Story County clerk of courts, said Leo made his initial court appearance on Thursday. At the appearance, the bond was reduced to zero percent of the initial $60,000, and he was released to the Department of Corrections.

Tott said Leo’s preliminary hearing has been waived.
