LETTER:Dave’s advertising? It’s distasteful

Now I'M Sure That Almost Everyone On At Isu Has Noticed The "Do You Agree With Dave?" Propaganda That Has Littered Our Campus With Balloons, Flyers, Banners, Other Equally Obnoxious, Ambiguous Advertisements. I'M Sorry, Dave, Whoever You May Be, But I'Ll Have To Disagree With You On This One. As Most Of Us Initially Expected, Have Since Confirmed, The "Dave" Campaign Is The Work Of Numerous Campus Christian Organizations. Well-Meaning As They May Be, I For One Am Frustrated, Disgusted With Their Efforts. I Am Not Anti-Christian, Or Even Anti-Religion. I Am, However, Opposed To People Trying To Force Their Beliefs Upon Me. Something As Intensely Personal As Religion Or A Belief System Is Not Something That Can Be Forced Upon A Person In Balloon Form; Rather, It Is Something That Each Individual Must Arrive At On Their Own Accord. By "Advertising" For God, These Organizations Are Only Further Disgusting Me With Organized Religion. I Realize That The Good That Organizations Like The Ones Putting On This Campaign Can Do Is Tremendous, I Wish They Would Focus Their Efforts More Productively. Show Us The Benefits Of The Church Through Philanthropy, and Service, Not Through "Dave" Balloons.
