“I agree with Dave.” What a refreshingly candid statement emphasizing the nature of certain campus ministries. Maybe there was doubt, but now our understanding of their focus is clear: not on seeking spiritual truth, not on walking the truth in love, not on understanding the gospel of compassion as exemplified by the acts and words of Jesus. No, we see now that of paramount importance is adherence to their own special breed of groupthink as exemplified by “Dave.” And even more clearly we see the leap of faith they have all taken – leaping right over the line separating unity from conformity.
