Is it too late to make a suggestion? On the new state quarter? I think that “Iowa sucks” should be put to the top of the list. Why? With Iowa’s population getting older and college grads flowing out of the state at an alarming rate, before too long Iowa will be a Third World tax nightmare, with people of taxable working age in the state. Just to keep today’s level of services, you have to keep raising taxes to such an extreme rate, no one will be able to live in the state.

Then Iowa’s new state motto will be “enter at your own risk.” It’s not too late; the doomsday clock is only 2 minutes to midnight. I hope that whoever becomes governor will see that Iowa is at a crossroads and do what needs to be done.
