LETTER:Standards on Iraq should be uniform

There seems to be some confusion about Iraq.

Yes, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Well, this had something to do with oil. Apparently, Iraq seems to think that before the Europeans embarked on their game of world conquest – Kuwait used to be a part of Iraq for, like, 4,000 years.

Yes, Iraq is a very mean state. So are Egypt, Iran, Israel, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Are we going to embark on regime changes there? What is going to happen if they think, “Why – united we stand – divided we fall!”

Yes, Iraq used chemical weapons. These were chemical weapons that we gave him to use. If you have a problem with that then maybe it’s time for a regime change in the United States.

Yes, Iraq’s people aren’t getting fed because their dictator is taking all the money and not using it for food. If our government was that poor they’d do the same.

If Saddam is such a madman whacko threat why isn’t he launching missiles at Israel and hooking the terrorists up phat? Do the terrorists in Palestine have chemical and biological weapons?

I’ve heard it will cost $50-100 billion to invade Iraq. With that kind of money we could feed the entire Iraqi population for years.

If Iraq is in violation of the United Nations then surely the U.N. must address the issue. It is not up the United States to take the law into its own hands.
