LETTER:Computer science testing poor
October 28, 2002
We are fairly upset at the way that Computer Science 227 is tested. The tests are an hour and five minutes long. The objective of programming is a mixture of speed and accuracy. With an hour and five minutes, we can either do one or the other, but not both, and successfully finish the test.
If they want speed, they should expect errors and grade as such, but if they want accuracy, give us more time. A two-hour exam would not bother me at all, because what we want is a good grade, not more time that night.
