Eilers turns himself in on drug charges

Former ISU football player Justin Eilers turned himself in to authorities on Friday.

He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, said Capt. Gary Foster of the Story County Sheriff’s office.

Police issued a warrant for Eilers¡ arrest on Sept. 11. His preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. in the Story County Courthouse in Nevada, according to court documents.
