LETTER:Poison Ink thwarts open-records progress
September 5, 2002
It was disappointing to see August 30th’s “Poison Ink.” It is gross bordering on vulgar without expressing a point of view that should be recognized by reasonable people.
I am one who has been arguing for open records and was a signer of the letter sent on May 30, 2001, to Interim President Seagrave regarding this important issue. Your cartoon strikes me as clouding rather than encouraging dialogue.
Surely you will have a better example to enter the contest, College Media Advisers Best Editorial Cartoon for 2002.
