LETTER:Make Poison Ink less toxic

Regardless of your readers’ position concerning the ISU Foundation policies, the recent editorial cartoon characterizing the ISU Foundation as a prostitute was an insult to the women leading that organization, as well as to the many women donors who contribute much-needed funds for campus improvements through the Foundation.

In this time of budget constraints, as well as, our concerns about maintaining and increasing the number of women in leadership positions, it would be a good idea for Mr. Cerra to try to make his political point by avoiding such a stereotypical depiction of women. It was just plain tacky and crude.

Please ask Mr. Cerra to use his editorial pen and ink with a little more subtlety, and perhaps he will make the point he intended.
