LETTER:Bike parking snafu prevails on campus
September 16, 2002
It’s great that more people are biking to class, but DPS either needs to increase the number of bike racks on campus, or stop removing bikes that are parked on fences.
I regularly come back to Friley at 1 a.m. after work, and there are no spots available on the bike racks. The only place to lock a bike is to the fence.
Also, I occasionally see bikes with “warning” labels around the handle bars. I feel that this is a better solution. If a bike is parked on a fence for an extended period of time, I see no problem with removing it, but during the day when there are no free parking spots, this is not a good solution.
