I believe the United Nations must be exposed for what it is. This organization continuously promotes abortion on demand, and, in fact, forces its views on many poor countries. One of the most outrageous programs is called the United Nations Population Fund. This organization has offices in China where there is evidence they have coerced women to obtain abortions and sterilizations. The next piece of shocking information is that the UNFPA receives million of dollars each year from the United States.

A pro-life organization, the Population Research Institute, has been investigating the UNFPA. In September 2000, PRI obtained first-hand evidence from victims of forced abortion and forced sterilizations in a UNFPA program in China. In an attempt to secure funding, UNFPA denied that such abuses take place. But videotaped evidence in an UNFPA program in China has been delivered by PRI to the White House. The tape reveals interviews where women were imprisoned and had their homes destroyed.

Horrific stories still emerge from China regarding their population programs. There are frequent cases of infanticide, late-term abortions, sex-selection abortions and forced sterilizations. Of course, China claims all their programs are voluntary. Is this where we want our tax dollars to go? Why does the U.N. have to be involved? The United Nations is a misguided organization that does nothing but promote the culture of death throughout the globe. I am tired of paying their bills.
