Early primary voting available

Early voting for the June 4 primary is now available. Story County voters can vote from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Story County Administration in Nevada. Voter registration deadline is 5 p.m. May 25. Absentee ballots are also available by written request.

ACCESS needs volunteers

ACCESS, a local volunteer group dedicated to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault, is looking for summer volunteers.

Volunteers must attend training sessions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 1, 2, 8 and 9.

Wildflower hike Saturday

Story County Conservation Naturalist Amy Yoakum will lead a hike to search for woodland wildflowers from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Robison Acres, 295th Street and 632 Avenue.

The hike is suitable for all ages. Participants are asked to dress comfortably and appropriate for the weather. The program will be canceled in the event of bad weather. For more information, call the Story County Conservation Office at (515) 232-2516.
