Barn dance to be held Saturday in Ames
The Central Iowa Barn Dance Association will be hosting a dance Saturday at the Collegiate/Wesley Annex, 130 South Sheldon Ave. The Barn Owl Band will be providing the music. Admission is $5 or $2 for students.
Alien Ant Farm’s bus crashes in Spain
Members of Alien Ant Farm suffered minor injuries early Wednesday morning when their bus collided with a parked truck. The bus driver was killed while other members of the band’s entourage suffered injuries ranging from broken ankles to superficial wounds.
New releases fare well on this week’s charts
New releases will comprise half of the top 10 on next week’s Billboard albums chart.
“P. Diddy & Bad Boy Present . We Invented the Remix” will lay claim to the #1 position after selling more than 255,000 copies, according to SoundScan figures released Wednesday.
P. Diddy was followed by new releases from New York rapper Cam’ron, Weezer and Moby.
Rock veterens Rush also debuted in the top 10 with “Vapor Trails,” its first studio album in six years.
