Marilyn Manson may countersue

On April 2, Marilyn Manson was sued by Maria St. John, the mother of Jennifer Syme, who died after partying at the shock rocker’s house last April. Now Manson says he may countersue; he claims the St. John’s charges are “completely false” and borderline slander.

Syme, who was the former girlfriend of Keanu Reeves, was killed in a car accident. Another person reportedly drove Syme home from Manson’s house, but she later tried to drive herself back to his home.

She died instantly at the scene of the accident. Cocaine was found in her blood.

St. James alleges Manson supplied her daughter the drugs and acted negligently when he allowed her to “operate a motor vehicle in her incapacitated condition.”

Manson says, “Words cannot express the pain that I feel over the loss of Jennifer Syme’s life. After Jennifer was sent home safely with a designated driver, she later got behind the wheel of her own car for reasons known only to her. Her death is sad and tragic.”
