There will be a number of retirement receptions for ISU faculty and staff members over the next two weeks.
April 30
Joel Snow, director for the International Institute of Theoretical and Applied Physics: 2-4 p.m. in the Cardinal Room of the Memorial Union, program at 3 p.m.
Tim McIlrath, associate professor of art and design: 2-4 p.m. in at the north end of Lightfoot Forum in the College of Design.
Mary Ellen Wishart, academic adviser for the Department of Health and Human Performance: 3:30 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

Martha Behrens, secretary for Agriculture Information Services: 2-4 p.m. in the Agronomy Hall courtyard.
Carl Bleyle, professor of music: 3-4:30 p.m. in the lobby of Music Hall, program at 4 p.m.

Vet Med college appoints new dean, chairwoman
The College of Veterinary Medicine has appointed James Roth, distinguished professor of veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine, as assistant dean for international programs.
The college also named Claire Andreasen, associate professor of veterinary pathology, as chairwoman of the Department of Veterinary Pathology and director of the Clinical Pathology Laboratory.
Both Roth and Andreasen will hold the administrative positions, which each had already been filling on an interim basis, for a three-year term.
