LETTER:Sexuality preferences belong off campus
April 5, 2002
In regards to all the posters that are being put up about same-sex relationships, I don’t believe these should be placed all over campus due to the nature of the material, and how it effects other individuals that do not agree with the purpose behind this propaganda.
I, for one, do not appreciate seeing sexually explicit material when I’m walking to class. The LGBTAA may claim that this is their First Amendment right, but come on, leave sexuality preferences off campus.
The group can try and get their points across another way, for example holding meetings that people can attend, not by putting up offensive material.
A person’s sexuality and preferences should be kept in their homes, not on a public campus.
