LETTER:Homosexuality a spiritual issue
April 23, 2002
Perhaps if Jared Strong (“Yet another way to condemn gays,” Friday) could ever admit he’s not perfect and tried to reach out for help only to be told there was none available or that he didn’t need any, then he’d understand how many homosexuals and self-identified “gays” feel about their situation.
We “ex-gays” don’t want to be heterosexual so much as we want to be holy. And that makes homosexuality a spiritual issue, not a sexual issue, let alone a social acceptance issue. Social acceptance is a puny goal.
