BREAKING NEWS: Power leaves ISU

Sophomore Shane Power announced Friday he will leave the ISU men’s
basketball program to transfer elsewhere.
“I want to thank coach Eustachy for the two years I had at Iowa
State,”
Power said in a press release. “I felt it was in my best interest to
leave
ISU and pursue other opportunities. I want to thank my teammates and
wish
them luck and thank the coaching staff for all their support.”
Power, a native of Crown Point, Ind., started all 31 games for the
Cyclones
last season, when the team finished.12-19. Power was the third leading
scorer on the team with 13.6 points per game. He also pulled down 4.5
rebounds per game while playing 37.5 minutes, more than any other
Cyclone.
“We want players who want to be in our program,” ISU head coach Larry
Eustachy said in a press release. “This is part of our transition
period for
this team. We wish Shane the best of luck in all of his future
endeavors.”
As of Friday, Power had not decided where he would transfer.
