Alice in Chains singer found dead
Layne Staley, lead singer of one of the grunge era’s most influential and best-selling bands, was found dead Friday evening.
Police discovered the Alice in Chains lead singer in his Seattle home after receiving a concerned call about the occupant of the house.
The cause of the 34-year-old singer’s death is not yet known. Officials assume the body had been in the home several days.
Alice in Chains garnered recognition for tracks such as “Would,” “Rooster” and “Man in the Box.”

`The Osbournes’ continues to soar
MTV’s “The Osbournes,” a reality TV show about the legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his family, has broken MTV records as the most popular series in the station’s history. The show has beat out “Beavis & Butthead” and “The Real World.”
Viewership continues to skyrocket. About 6.3 million viewers watched the new “Osbournes” episode Tuesday.
